Good Morning Gators!
Toast two doesn’t open until 8. That’s like the middle of the day! There were a few people waiting to get in. This is an unusual occurance for me.

Exterior
The place is really small and pretty much all of the seating is bench style. You know how much I hate that. I sat in a chair that was not designed for my big @ss. The place is sort of hard to categorize. It’s very Tan and woody. The music was like electronic Spa music. The Coffee was supplied by Bowtruss Coffee Roasters. It was an interesting blend. Fairly Complex 8 It had a Honey Bear and some kind of Flower from another Planet on the table.

The menu was a reasonable size. 8 There wasn’t an overwhelming abundance of options. I knew that I wanted a Benedict but I decided to start with an Omelette. I know that they don’t pose well for pictures but I ordered one anyway.
lorraine
applewood smoked bacon, swiss cheese, onion and chive. Served with House Potatoes and of course Toast
The Potatoes were OK. Pretty fresh but not much seasoning. 7 The Sourdough toast was well toasted and warm. 8

The Omelette was overcooked of course. It was fairly tasty though 7

Crabby Benedict
The Hollandaise was of the right consistancy but it tasted like savory Lemon Meringue Pie Filling. It was disconcerting 6 The Eggs were about 42 seconds underdone. The Crab was indeed Crabby but it wasn’t seasoned with anything. A bit of fresh Tarragon or Dill and some citrus was really missing. The Muffin was well toasted. Overall this was a 7

And Finally
mascarpone & pine nuts
anise-flavored pancakes layered with mascarpone and topped with toasted pine nuts, a light fruit salad, honey butter and lavender flowers
The Pancakes were pretty thin. The Honey Butter Syrup that they were coated in made them sorta tough. The Pancakes were pretty good but the lavender made the dish taste like a bar of soap that came from Crabtree and Evelyn. It was very off-putting for me. I give them a 10 for creativity but for me this dish was a 5

Well Gators that’s it for Toast two. an OK visit. A cute clean neighborhood place. The food was OK. The service was mixed. I’d stop if I was in the neighborhood but for me not a destination.
As for me I’m off to my next adventure
