This review is for the West Town Location

Good Morning Gators!

What a tough drive I had. I left the house at 6:30am and arrived about 8:45am. Traffic nightmare. I do it for my readers   :0x

Surprisingly the place was empty and it is pretty dark. My pictures suffered so I apologize in advance for the reduced quality.

The interior of flo is Hipster Artist Chic. Dark Moody Artsy. Old wood Carpet Free and Electro Funk Music   7

The Menu is definitely Mexican Leaning. Coffee to start   8   They had ONE Splenda packet in the whole place. Sugar was in order.

The menu is short like I like it. I am going to add a page of rants one of these days.

1st Up

Huevos Verdes
Cheddar cheese-filled enchiladas, housemade chorizo, finished with green chili and fried eggs, potatoes

The Potatoes were disappointing. Some of them were nearly uncooked.   5   The dish itself was delicious. The sauce was great. Tasty and seasoned well and just spicy enough. A well balanced  plate   8   

flo makes their own line of Hot Sauce. Mild to HOTT. They were tasty but a bit sweet for me.   7

Next Up

Red Chilaquiles
Corn tostada pieces folded with scrambled eggs, black beans, poblano rajas, corn and pico de gallo, simmered in red chili-tomato salsa with cheddar cheese and warm tortilla

The Tortillas were crisp. The Sauce was flavorful and a good balance of heat and seasoning   8   

Lastly

Frutti Pebbles French Toast  (Not on the Menu) Thanks for the suggestion Christina!

We of course must start with The Dreaded Alton Brown Makes French Toast LINK  I’ll spare you the rant. The Toast was surprisingly tasty but the interior was dry (Of Course) I expected not to like this but I was wrong. It was sweet slightly mapley crunchy and a touch Frutti   8   Very Creative

A short sweet review of flo. I wouldn’t rate it as a destination place but it was good. In the neighborhood? Stop in.

As for me I’m off to my next adventure!
